Soil and sea

I said I do, but I don't, I felt, maybe, I knew, punctuation matters

across the distance of seas
vibration
spirit and the minds eye
vocalizing fine
, the current,
but then it..

ebbs and slows
seeks subterranean
soft, moist and
mother earth cold

grounds out there
nothing taking root
stretches of stardust dissipating
ungerminating cosmic dew

cracked heart,
both yes and no
unable to go,
past the fortified wall

for the memories, for the good times.
the distance between us
only inches, mere miles
winding dirt roads
across the distance of seas

sun falters
light flickers
pushing away and hanging on

a pebble thrown
into Mariana
pressure mounting,
light dimming,
coldness seeping.

no air

no
